A FIRST CRUSH

I was telling Gracie today about going to the park tomorrow with some friends from my MOMS group. I was telling her who I thought would be there. I mentioned a little boy who might there & she looked at me & said "Mom I am kind of shy around him." (As she is batting her beautiful blue eyes) Now, Gracie has a lot of little boy friends. My closest friends all have little boys so therefore she has always been around boys, so that comment took me by surprise - shy around a boy, why? So I asked her. This was her reply: "Because Mommy, I think he is so handsome so I am shy when I see him." I am not ready for this! But, I do know someone who is even less ready: HER DADDY!!!

GLAD IT'S ALMOST OVER

June has been an extremely busy month for us. I don't think I have had a day where I had nothing to do. I like to stay busy to an extent - there is no way I could stay home all day everyday, but I also like my down days. I feel like we have been living out of suitcases, it seems like the girls have been in the car more in this last month than they ever have & we miss going to our church! We have had fun; we have taken a 2 trips to Nathan's parents & 1 trip to my parent's, the girls did swimming lessons, we loved having Kristin & Casey here for a few weekends, my bible study started, Nathan is right now fishing for the weekend with his new, to us, boat & we have had a lot of parties to go. I am looking forward to things slowing down a bit in July & August. But already July is filling up fast. Even since I have posted this!

WHERE DID THIS DIAPER COME FROM?

I walked into the living room & found this diaper on the floor. I noticed it, but brushed it off because the girls are always putting diapers on their dolls.

Until a few minutes later I walked back into the room & saw this:

I guess it came from Miss Cassidy's little bum. Maybe that means she's ready to be potty-trained. I doubt it!

I AM A GIRL!!!

I was at JCPenney two different times this week & both times someone came up to Cassidy & said "Oh, what a cute little boy." Yes, Cassidy is bald but I always dress her like a little girl. Occasionally (& one of these times) I put her in a green shirt but it did have a flower on it & matching purple pants. And today she was in a pink shirt, purple pants, & pink princess shoes. Her coat was gray but it had pink trim & pink flowers all over it! She was even holding a baby doll for goodness sake! Usually I just smile & get over it, but because it happened twice I was tempted to go buy a big ol' bow to put on her head & a sign that says clearly "I AM A GIRL!"

This is the exact outfit. Oh well, whether people think she's a girl or boy she's a pretty cute kid!
