Here is a little glimpse of what goes on at our house:

Nathan works on stuff

Cassidy plays with bugs or dirt

She also loves to help Nathan. She has to sneak in the garage because I won't let her help him unless she has her 'work' clothes on.

Gracie loves running through the sprinklers

I relax with a good book. Right now I am reading the Sisterchicks series, they are so good! I check mine out from out church library. If you're looking for a good series try this one!

ALWAYS A FLOWER GIRL, NEVER A GUEST!

Gracie has apparently been a flower girl in enough weddings that she thinks it is now her right to be in every wedding. For example:

Gracie: "Mom, teacher Brian was in Sunday school today & he said he is getting married in one week."

Me: "Oh, how exciting. Did you know we are going to the wedding?"

Gracie: "We are? What do I get to do?"

Me: "Nothing, we are going to be guests."

Gracie: "Guest, what is that? Do I get to do something?"

Me: "No, we get to sit out & watch & see how pretty everyone looks."

Gracie: "I don't get to do anything? I am just a guest? (Big sigh) Oookkkkk.

I don't know why she is complaining - I was never once a flower girl!

This is not an announcement but I found this iron-on transfer the other day & picked it up. It came with 2 - perfect, huh? Just in case. It may or not may be used!? You may or may not want to stay tuned!?

IT'S HAPPENING ALREADY

Gracie is only almost 5, she is not supposed to have the 'yeah, whatever Mom, I am pretending to listen to you' attitude. This is what occurred this morning:

Me: "Gracie, go drink your milk please."

Gracie: "OK, mom."

A few seconds later:

Gracie: "What did you say?"

OUR FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND

We spent the weekend at Nathan's Aunt & Uncle's cabin with them & Nathan's parents. It was a beautiful & relaxing weekend. We were out in the middle of nowhere - the nearest town was 2 hours away. The drive there had gorgeous scenery & the cabin is feet away from a river. We had a great time fishing, watching deer from the front porch, playing games & I scrapbooked. Here are some pictures - there are a lot!


We made s'mores & on the last night Cassidy finally sat with Aunt Virginia!
